Festive family fun at The Anthony Seddon Fund Christmas fair

The Anthony Seddon Fund is kicking off the festive season with its much-loved annual Christmas Fair, taking place on Saturday 29th November 2025, from 11am to 3pm at 12 George Street, Ashton-under-Lyne.

This cherished community event offers free entry and promises a day packed with family-friendly fun, festive treats, and plenty of opportunities to support the charity’s vital mental health work across Tameside.

A highlight for many families, Santa’s Grotto will be open throughout the day, giving children the chance to meet Father Christmas and receive a special gift.
Tickets are £5 per child, with limited slots available, early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Visitors can browse a variety of festive stalls, clothing and craft stands, all run by local businesses and makers. From handmade gifts to seasonal decorations, it’s the perfect chance to pick up unique Christmas presents.

A delicious charity bake sale, along with hot dogs, cakes, mulled wine, fancy hot chocolates and mince pies, will keep everyone well-fed throughout the day.
Seasonal music will set the mood, bringing all the warmth and joy of the Christmas period.

The fair will also feature:

  • Raffle, tombola and lucky dip with fantastic prizes up for grabs
  • Hand massage sessions for just £5, ideal for a little festive relaxation
  • A kids’ colouring competition, with a grand prize for the best picture of the day

All funds raised from the event will go directly to supporting The Anthony Seddon Fund, which provides mental health support, community activities and wellbeing services across the local area.
