A brand-new initiative is launching in Tameside just in time for Pride Month: Tameside LGBT+ Forum.
The inaugural meeting will take place online on Thursday 5th June at 7:00pm, and all LGBT+ residents and allies are warmly invited to attend.
The Tameside LGBT+ Forum aims to be a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive space where LGBT+ local residents can connect, share experiences, and collaborate on making our community a more visible and affirming place for everyone. The Forum will serve as a hub for discussion, consultation, and community-building.
Working in partnership with local authorities, organisations, and grassroots groups, the Forum seeks to amplify LGBT+ voices and influence positive change in policies, services, and community life. In addition to regular meetings, the Forum will host events and activities which help build community and celebrate the diversity of Tameside.
Tameside’s LGBT+ Forum said: “Whether you’re looking for support, seeking to make new connections, or wanting to help shape a more inclusive future in Tameside, Tameside LGBT+ Forum welcomes you.”
