A new group for creative people living in the High Peak is being launched next month.

Starting on Friday 7 October, at the Shrub Club in New Mills, it will run from 10.30am to midday and provide a chance for creative people in the area to meet up.

It has been started by Hannah Brine, who founded the High Peak Singers community choir earlier this year.

She said: “I’ve just moved to the area and am keen to meet other creative people to share ideas, be inspired and socialise.

“I’m a musician but I’m also very interested in poetry and photography, and this will be a great way for the creative people in the area to come together.

“Being a freelancer, I find I can end up working from home quite a bit, and not always meeting people so other freelance creatives will probably feel in a similar position.”

High Peak Creative Network will meet on the first Friday of the month.
