Buxton man charged with raping two women

A 41-year-old man from Buxton has been charged with raping two women that he met on dating websites.

Daniel Hibberts, of Williamson Avenue, has been charged with one count of rape against a woman he met on the website Plenty of Fish, and one count of rape against a woman he is said to have met on the dating app Tinder.

One offence was said to have happened in July in Chesterfield this year and the other is alleged to have happened in Buxton between 2016 and 2019.

He has also been charged with possessing a Taser.

Hibberts has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court on Wednesday 19 August.
