Buxton road set for overnight closures

Part of a busy stretch of road in Buxton is set to be closed for 11 nights to allow it to be resurfaced.

The A6 Bakewell Road, near the Topley Pike Quarry entrance, will be closed from 7pm to 6am every evening from Monday 7 September to Wednesday 18 September.

Diversions will be in place and the county council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

It will be closed for a distance of 860 metres west.

Access will be maintained wherever possible and the road will reopen as soon as the work is finished.
