It wasn't all just fruit, flowers and veg at Tintwistle Allotment Gardeners Association's eighth annual horticultural show last Saturday.
The community centre on Sexton Street was crammed with almost everything it’s possible to grow in Tintwistle.
But in marquees on the adjoining fields there were entertainers, as well as a range of entries.
Just as important, there was plenty to eat and drink.
The association’s Marianne Stevenson said: “The show is a chance for village allotment holders, gardeners, residents, including children and those from outside the village, to exhibit fruit, flowers, vegetables, cookery, preserves, photography and handicrafts – and for others to come and view.”
This year’s special theme was 100 Years of Tintwistle Children’s Gala.
There was also a children’s section.
