Consultation launched to help keep Buxton moving

Andy Parker from the group's Access, Parking, Traffic and Transport team with Matthew Nuttall, chair of Buxton Town Team.

Buxton Town Team have successfully launched a consultation focussing on how to keep the town on the move.

The draft Sustainable Travel Plan for Buxton builds on years of research and looks at travel in all its forms.

BTT volunteers have worked with residents, the University of Derby, local authorities, and local organisations to produce the ambitious plan.

Now they are eager to hear what people think about the proposals put forward and also welcome any other ideas.

They want to hear from Buxton residents first and foremost but would also welcome responses from regular visitors spending time in the town for business or pleasure.

The draft document and the comments received will work to form the final Sustainable Travel Plan which will be published in the autumn.

You can get a copy of the draft plan by visiting the town team website at wwww.buxtontownteam.org and can follow the links to provide your feedback through an online questionnaire.
