Glossop and District Round Table has given £750 to local charity Crossroads Derbyshire.
The money was raised at last year's Glossop Bonfire and Fireworks extravaganza in Manor Park.
It will be used to update the garden at the refuge for the residents.
The Round Table has been a long-standing supporter of the work the charity does to support people experiencing domestic abuse in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.

Vicky Bunnage, CEO of Crossroads Derbyshire, said: "Thank you so much once again for the fantastic support from Glossop and District Round Table.
"We really do appreciate it and it will make such a difference to young families who have had to leave their home to escape domestic abuse."
