A disqualified driver who almost crashed into a police car was arrested by officers in the High Peak.

Buxton Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said they were on patrol between Chapel-en-le-Frith and Dove Holes on Tuesday evening (20 July) when the black VW Polo almost crashed into the side of their vehicle.

Officers recognised the driver, who they knew to be disqualified.

They were arrested and taken to custody, while their vehicle was also seized.
