Mountain rescue teams joined forces to rescue a dog that had gone missing in the area of Mam Tor.

Kenny the dog had gone missing on Thursday and was later located on the face on Mam Tor.

On Friday evening, volunteers from Edale and Buxton Mountain Rescue were able to set up a rope rescue system from above.

A spokesperson for the Edale MRT said: “The owner accompanied by one of our Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England handlers was able to entice Kenny down to safe ground below Mam Tor. A happy ending for all involved.”
