The Hadfield Community Speed Watch team have been on duty again to check on the speed of motorists travelling through the area.

They were on Woolley Bridge Road between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday afternoon (10 August).

The speed limit was 30 miles per hour.

Whilst they were in position, some 304 vehicles passed the team in both directions. Of these, seven were recorded driving at a speed of 35mph or above.

Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team say the owners or registered keepers of the vehicles will now receive letters of advice about their speeding.

They also thanked the three volunteers who took the time to complete the Speed Watch event.
