First inter pub bowls competition in Glossop

Teams from the Commercial and the Wheatsheaf pubs in Glossop are going head-to-head this weekend, in the first inter pub bowls competition. 

The match is taking place at Manor Park Bowling Club on Saturday 9 July starting at around 1.30pm. 

It is a singles 10 versus 10 match with a trophy to the winners. 

Organisers say it is the first match of its kind and hope it could develop into a pub league.
