Glossop bank seeks permission to remove ATM

Plans have been submitted by Barclays bank to remove the ATM from their branch on High Street East in Glossop.

The move comes as the bank prepares to close the premises towards the end of next month.

As we reported back in May, Barclays are closing the banks in Glossop, Buxton and Marple. The nearest branch for people in Glossopdale will be at Arcades Shopping Centre in Ashton.

The application also seeks to remove the existing signage and night safe and replace the ATM with glazing to match the existing windows at the property.

The plans are available to view on the council’s website at www.highpeak.gov.uk.
