Hadfield baker commissioned to create Call of Duty cake

A Hadfield baker has been given another exciting opportunity to showcase her skills after being asked to create a cake to mark the release of the latest Call of Duty game.

Kimberley Neequaye, owner of Cakes by Kimberley, was contacted directly by the creators of the popular video game franchise and asked to make one of her bespoke cakes for the occasion, with delivery to their Manchester offices.

Kimberley said she was delighted to receive the request and felt it was an honour to be asked again.

It marks the second time she has been approached by the team behind Call of Duty, having previously been contacted from California two years ago to create a cake celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary.

Describing the commission as “an amazing opportunity”, Kimberley is delighted to have been approached again by the internationally renowned gaming franchise.

The cake celebrates the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which went on sale on Friday 23rd October.

Established in 2008, Cakes by Kimberley has been creating cakes and bakes for more than 18 years, maintaining a five-star food hygiene rating throughout its history.

Kimberley runs the business alongside her best friend Nicola, creating nostalgic cakes, cupcakes and a variety of other treats. The business also specialises in personalised cupcakes for corporate events and businesses.

Over the years, the pair have produced thousands of cakes for customers and local businesses, building a strong reputation for quality baking and excellent customer service.

With Christmas fast approaching, Kimberley is now taking orders for a range of festive treats, including brownie Yule logs, bespoke cupcakes and Christmas Eve boxes.
