You never knew what could be lurking! Well, it was Halloween - and the People of Whitfield group wanted to surprise.
So the Whitfield Cross wells were covered in spider webs and parts of the area around Wood Street play park were decorated with all things spooky. The Halloween spectacular featured a competition to carve, or decorate a pumpkin (pictured) which produced some fantastic results, plus a hunt for clues contest.
Kalie-Dee Jones, one of the organisers, said: “We had a great turn-out and everyone that came by seemed in great spirits.
“There were 23 different families that we sent parcels out to. The prizes totalled £145. We had some ecstatic winners.”
The event was supported by The Bureau through the Glossopdale Community Well-being programme.
