Members of High Peak Stand Up to Racism took to Glossop's high street to "express their dismay" at Government plans to send some asylum seekers to Rwanda.
They held up placards near Norfolk Square on Saturday morning (16 April) to display their message.
A spokesperson for the group said: "This goes even further than the cruel Nationality and Borders Bill, which is due to come before Parliament again this week, and it has been widely condemned including by the United Nations and the Archbishop of Canterbury."
Home Secretary Priti Patel told MPs in the House of Commons on Tuesday (19 April) that the scheme would be "a major blow to people smugglers" and would stop people dying on dangerous routes to the UK.
Under the scheme - announced last week - people deemed to have entered the UK unlawfully will be flown to the African country, where they would be processed, and if successful, would have long-term accommodation in the African country.
