Join Glossop Big Pick for the latest community clean-up

There was a great turnout for last month's Glossop Big Pick in January.

Residents are being invited to join the next Glossop Big Pick, which will take place on Saturday (19 February).

Glossop's biggest community litter picking group was back in action last month for the first time following a near two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Anyone who wishes to join the friendly group should meet outside The Bureau on Henry Street at 10am.

Everything you will need will be provided, and there will be refreshments afterwards.

Glossop Big Pick was co-founded in 2019 by local councillors Damien Greenhalgh and Rachel Abbotts, The Bureau and local residents who wanted to make a difference to where they live. It is supported by High Peak Borough Council and its AES Team.

The group now has a new coordinator in Mat Gregory, who is The Bureau’s Community Development Lead.

To find out any more information, you can follow the Big Pick on Facebook by searching 'Glossop Big Pick' or email Matthew@the-bureau.org.uk or GlossopBigPick@gmail.com
