Lymefield Garden Centre's annual Pumpkin Patch event has managed to raise £3,000 for a Glossop charity.
The Bureau volunteers had great fun at the event and it was a real success.
The money raised will support mental wellbeing services within Glossopdale.
Over the two weekends in the run up to Halloween, visitors were able to pick out their pumpkin and take it to the carving station to create their designs.
The event took place last month at the garden centre in Broadbottom.
A spokesperson told us: "The Bureau works with the belief that all members of the community will have both support needs of their own and the capacity to support others at various times in their lives – in some cases simultaneously. It is our mission to identify and link together community needs and solutions to enable people to live independently and improve the quality of life for local communities.
"The Bureau was set up as a charity in 1979 by the then Director of Social Services. Known as The Volunteer Bureau at the time, it was set up in order to establish much needed services for local people across Glossopdale that could be developed and run by volunteers. We thank Lymefield very much for selecting us to benefit from their pumpkin patch event this year.”
