Man arrested after poppy wreath was thrown

A man has been arrested after a video emerged of a poppy wreath being thrown in a park in Buxton last weekend.

The video of the incident in The Slopes on Terrace Road was widely shared on social media. 

Police from Buxton's Safer Neighbourhood Team have confirmed a 70-year-old man from Buxton has been arrested in relation to the incident on suspicion of a public order offence. 

They added that enquiries are ongoing.
