Two 11-year-old friends from the High Peak who had gone missing have been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
Constantia Carr-Winterburn, of Whaley Bridge, and Lillie Almond, of Dove Holes, had left their homes on Thursday morning (26 November) to go to school but didn't return home later.
Police issued an appeal, which was shared far and wide by residents on social media on Thursday evening.
Derbyshire Constabulary has now said that the girls have been found safe and well in the Greater Manchester area.
A force spokesperson said: "We would like to thank all of you who shared our appeal and to everyone who contacted us with sightings and information. Your response to our appeals can really make a difference."
