Motorists are being urged to avoid the Woodhead Pass following a collision between two HGVs.
The drivers of the lorries suffered minor injuries, however one of the vehicles requires recovery.
Significant disruption to the Woodhead Pass has occurred as a result of the incident.
Police received reports of two HGVs involved in a crash at around 7.55am on Wednesday (17 August).
The road was fully closed off initially, but it is now partially blocked in both directions.
