Glossop Chronicle Editor David Jones was recovering this week after being involved in a collision with a van in Ashton yesterday morning. He is now recuperating at home.
His car was involved in the collision just after 8am on Bentinck Street at the junction of Hill Street and close to our offices.
Police and an ambulance were called to the scene and David, who lives in Glossop, was taken to Tameside Hospital as a precaution after being left badly shaken in the incident. The van driver was not injured.
David, 76, reported from hospital yesterday afternoon to say he was recovering well and everyone at the Reporter and Chronicle send him their best wishes.
