Staff at Pico Lounge in Glossop completed an 11 mile run to Berretto Lounge in the heart of Stockport.
The team decided to make the journey to Stockport on Wednesday to raise money for the local charity, Mummy’s Star. Kimberley Crammer, who is part of the Pico Lounge team explained why they chose that charity: “It is one close to our hearts and one of our regulars Pete is the founder of the charity.”
The 11 mile journey was a challenge Kim added: “The run was certainly challenging, lots of steep hills from Stockport to Glossop. We’ve been out training a lot so we felt well prepared.”
“The last stretch we felt the community of Glossop get behind us & give us that push for the last 2 miles.”
So far, the team have raised £885 and the team would like to thank the local community for the support. Manager Marie Martin said: “We has such a warm reception when we got back to pico with lots of regular customers waiting to cheer us on & welcome us back.”
