Plans for a dessert parlour and coffee shop in Glossop have been turned down.
Planners decided the proposed shop front would look out of place.
The property at 142 High Street West is located within the Wren Nest area of the Glossop Conservation Area, which is a designated Heritage Asset.
In refusing the application, High Peak Borough Council planners stated the design and appearance of the proposed new shop front would undermine the historic character of the building, street scene and conservation area.
