Police clock motorcyclist doing 95mph

Derbyshire Police Safer Neighbourhood Team Officers have recently been out conducting extra speed checks.

Over the weekend a total of 10 motorists were caught speeding, with the highest being a motorcyclist dangerously doing 95mph on the A57 Snake Pass.

The team want to remind motorists of the ‘Fatal Four’, which are the specific offences attributed to a significant amount of fatal road traffic collisions:

The Fatal Four:

1) Not wearing a seatbelt

2) Using a mobile phone whilst driving

3) Exceeding the speed limit

4) Driving under the influence of drink or drugs
