Police were called after there were reports of an attempted break-in at Hadfield Library.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said they received a call at 9.30pm on Sunday evening (7 March) to report a potential break-in at the library on Railway Street.
However, they added that officers attended there was no sign of a break-in and no-one in the area.
