Recycle your Christmas tree and support a local hospice

Residents across the High Peak are being encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees whilst supporting a good local cause.

Tree surgeon service SNS Trees is once again holding its tree recycling campaign in aid of Blythe House Hospicecare.

Simon Dowell and his colleagues will be picking up trees on three Saturdays in January (8th, 22nd, 29th) across the local community.

Collections can be made from Chapel-en-le-Frith, Whaley Bridge, New Mills, Chinley, Buxworth, Hayfield, Little Hayfield and Tunstead Milton.

To arrange a collection – for a suggested minimum donation of just £10 – call or text 'Christmas tree' with your name and address to 07494 072082.

SNS Trees said on Twitter: "This year is more important than normal for us to collect as much as we can for this great charity. 100 per cent of the money raised goes to the charity. You never know when you will need their help."

Chapel-based Blythe House Hospicecare offers free, individualised, holistic care and support for anyone in the High Peak living with cancer or other serious, life-limiting illness. Find out more via their website https://blythehousehospice.org.uk/
