Santa is on track

Glossop station is decorated ready for Christmas and on Saturday it will welcome a very special traveller.

Father Christmas will be in the waiting room from 11am to 11.45am to give every child who pops in a small free gift.

The Friends of Glossop Station have organised the popular family friendly event which will include seasonal music from folk group Spindrift. 

Andrea Strogen will be helping to run a ‘make a Christmas tree decoration’ stall and Glossop Model Railway will have a seasonal interactive layout on display. 

Switching on the Christmas tree lights at around 11.20am this year is Raj Chandarana,  business stakeholder manager for Northern. 

Friends group chairman Neil Williams, said: “A warm welcome is offered to all.”
