Something to crow about in Charlesworth

Straw creations have brightened up a couple of villages in the High Peak much to the delight of passers-by.

Now the winners of the Charlesworth and Chisworth Scarecrow Trail have been announced.

The theme for this year’s scarecrow competition was ‘green.’

The Great Green Warrior Womble took first place.

In joint second place were Seamus in Chisworth and Hulk in Charlesworth.

Residents voted on the top three after carrying out the Scarecrow Trail.

Another event is still running as the annual carnival isn’t taking place this year.

The Carnival Trail sets out clues in a scavenger type hunt where people have to work out puzzles as they follow the clues around the two villages.
