Fun-lovers took advantage of Tuesday’s winter snow to enjoy a day out in Glossop.
Weather forecasters say the cold snap is set to continue through next week. This is because the UK is now in the grip of a cold plunge of Arctic
air which has moved in from the north across the whole of the country.
A number of National Severe Weather Warnings have been issued for potentially disruptive snow and ice over the coming days.
More frosty nights are expected this weekend, but it will be dry on Friday with plenty of sunshine and feeling
somewhat less cold. It’s then turning milder and windier over the weekend with coastal gales possible and some rain.
