Where Glossop's Covid-19 vaccination centre is now

Residents are being reminded that Glossop's vaccination hub has now moved - but not very far.

The clinics had been taking place at Glossop Cricket and Bowling Club since December 2020, providing Covid as well as flu vaccines to local residents.

But the centre is no longer based at the North Road venue, with Glossop Health Team saying a heartfelt thanks to staff at the cricket club for their support

As of Monday (1 November), it has now relocated to Unit 2-3 on Glossop Brook Road - directly opposite Glossop North End's Amdec Forklift Stadium.

For people travelling by car, the clinics can be accessed by driving past Tesco. For people travelling on foot, the clinics can be accessed in the same way, or via Surrey Street.

For those looking to get their first or second vaccine dose, appointments can be booked by visiting www.tamesideandglossop.nhsvaccinations.co.uk

Glossop Health Team has said that people eligible for a booster Covid vaccine will have received a text message, phone call or letter from their GP surgery - if registered at Lambgates Health Centre, Simmondley Medical Practice, Cottage Lane Surgery, Manor House in Glossop or Hadfield, or Howard Medical Centre.

The government has said that most people will be offered either Pfizer or Moderna for their booster jab, which may be different from the vaccines administered for their first or second doses.

Meanwhile, some teenagers aged between 12 and 15 years old have also been invited to get a jab at clinics at the new Glossop Brook Road hub.
