Breakfast over new town centre vision plans

A breakfast event will take place tomorrow morning (Tuesday) as the council looks to develop a renewed vision for Oldham town centre.

The Invest in Oldham event will feature key figures from the private and public sectors.

They will answer questions about the transformational developments, the challenges the borough faces, and what needs to happen to deliver economic growth.

The town centre vision outlines six priority areas, and includes the construction of up to 2,000 new homes within and on the edge of the town centre, new commercial and leisure opportunities and a renewed focus on the town’s night-time economy.

The event will also consider how the borough can capitalise on its location to attract people and businesses seeking something different.

It will take place on Tuesday morning (February 25) at 7.30am at Mahdlo Youth Zone on Egerton Street.
