Can you help find missing Lidia?

Missing Lidia.

Police have issued a desperate appeal to help trace a teenager who has been missing since January.

Lidia was last spotted in Chorley at around 4pm on January 8 and then on February 22 at 9.30pm. Police say despite 'extensive enquiries' she has not yet been found.

Officers believe the 18-year-old could have links to Oldham and Salford, and are appealing to members of the public to get in touch with any information on her whereabouts.

She is described as Romanian, around five feet two inches, of medium athletic build, has olive skin and black hair that is normally worn in a bun.

Police say she was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, a white top, black jeans, white Nike trainers, and a black 'New York' baseball cap.

Officers are urging members of the public with any information to contact them immediately  on 101 quoting log number 1673 of 23/02/2025.

  • Chesterfield v Latics: bad and good news

Let’s start with the bad news. James Reade, economics professor at Reading university, has been in touch about my assertion last week that Latics require 1.8333 points per game to reach 71 points. By his calculations, which are far more trustworthy than mine – who says you won’t amount to anything without GCSE maths? – Latics will need more than 71 points to clinch seventh place this season. Professor Reade reckons the target is a minimum of 74 points.
