Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called out to Curry’s retail store in Royton this morning after a chemical alarm went off.
The area surrounding the retail premises was sealed off as firefighters investigated the cause of the incident.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called following the activation of a chemical alarm at Elk Mill just after 11am. Checks were carried out and found it to be a false alarm.”
