Staff at Dogs Trust Manchester are hoping they will come up smelling of roses in their search for volunteers to help them look after the site.
The Denton-based rehoming centre is in need of volunteers to help look after the outdoor areas of the site, taking on everything from planting to weeding.
Dogs Trust Volunteer Co-ordinator, Kerry Gormley, says:
“We have a Maintenance Officer who looks after the entire site so he’s as busy as a bee all year round and now we’re looking for volunteers to work alongside him regularly.
“It is really important to us that the centre is a lovely, welcoming place for people to visit, whether they are dropping off donations or coming to chat about a dog they would like to adopt, and this role will really help us achieve that.”
If you are a lover of the outdoors, are available during the week and want to do your bit to help rescue dogs, please go to www.dogstrust.org.uk/manchester or to find out more or you can e-mail volunteer.manchester@dogstrust.org.uk
