FCHO distributes Easter Eggs to families in need on Good Friday

Easter eggs were distributed to families in need by First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) on Good Friday.

More than 300 eggs - donated by FCHO and its contractors Waites and Barlows - were delivered to the housing association’s Holts and Sholver ‘The Bread and Butter Thing’ (TBBT) affordable food projects.

FCHO neighbourhood co-ordinators in Alt and South Chadderton also dropped some off for customers in their areas.

Children were able to bring their grown-ups to FCHO’s Union Street headquarters to pick up some eggs too.

TBBT volunteers were not forgotten either as each were given an egg as a thank you for their tireless work.

“We know small gestures like this can make a big difference especially during times when some customers are feeling the pressure of rising costs at the moment,” said FCHO head of community services Ben Thomas.

“Delivering these Easter eggs was a simple way to spread a bit of joy and to say thank you to those who go the extra mile to help at the TBBT.

“Many thanks to our contractors for donating some of the eggs.”
