A 32-year-old man has been charged with murder following a road rage hit-and-run incident in Oldham.
Andrew Robson of Fold Green, Chadderton has been charged with murder and was due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Saturday).
Police were alerted to a fight between two drivers close to the Elk Mill retail park roundabout on Wednesday evening.
It is believed that the drivers of the two vehicles had an altercation close to the roundabout, before one of the drivers got back into his vehicle and struck the other man with it.
The victim, a man aged 50, sadly died at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services. Police are continuing to support his family at this difficult time.
The suspect left the area and later handed himself into police, where he was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The investigation is being run by the Major Incident Team and enquiries are ongoing.
