Police in Oldham have confirmed there were no bones found in a garden in Limeside following a full investigation.
A scene remained in place at the back of a house on Fourth Avenue, Limeside, while officers assessed the bones last Thursday.
At the time a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said that officers were investigating following reports of suspected bones being discovered in a garden on Fourth Avenue, Oldham, at around 3.30pm on July 17 and that a scene remained in place until the next day.
After a thorough investigation, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “There were no bones found at the location and the scene has been closed.”
