Tameside magistrates have banned an Oldham man from the road for 18 months.
Samee Alam was stopped on Ashton Road, Oldham, but later refused to give a specimen of blood for analysis when suspected of having committed a driving offence.
The 24-year-old admitted the charge, plus driving a car without insurance cover.
The charges related to an incident on March 12 this year.
Magistrates fined him a total of £220, plus ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £34. His address was given as Pitt Street, Oldham.
