Stalybridge Celtic made it back-to-back wins on Tuesday with their second 3-2 victory in a matter of days, this time seeing off Nantwich Town at Bower Fold.
The home side had to come from behind to take the spoils, with visitors Nantwich taking an early lead when Alex Panter headed in from close range, only for Max Leonard to fire in the leveller just before half time, his third goal in two matches.
A well worked set piece then saw Celtic go in front on the hour, with Ruben Jerome finishing off the move to record his second goal in as many games.
Macken’s side’s advantage was then doubled six minutes later when a late challenge on Leonard saw the referee point to the spot, with Jack Irlam making no mistake from 12 yards.
The away side did manage to halve the deficit before the whistle, but Callum Saunders’ 95th minute free kick proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
