Celtic snatch late winner

Stalybridge Celtic snatched a late winner to all but confirm their status as a step seven club for another season.

It was a great night at Bower Fold as Simon Haworth's side, who entered the game on the back of a 1-0 victory at Atherton Collieries four days earlier, took the lead through Jake Burton in the 24th minute.

The visitors, who were looking to forge their way into the playoffs, pulled level in the 79th minute thanks to the league's leading scorer, Jacob Hazel.

However, the Seasiders' playoff hopes were dealt a a huge blow as Connor Falls headed home from close rage in the 94th minute to give the hosts the three points.

Celtic return to action this weekend and welcome 19th place Radcliffe to Bower Fold.
