Stalybridge Celtic have confirmed the signing of Dahrius Waldron.
The former Liverpool Under 18’s defender joins the club from Ramsbottom United.
The 25-year-old featured for Celtic in our first pre-season friendly vs Morecambe and impressed in defence.
Dahrius, who is from Manchester, was scouted by Liverpool whilst playing for Fletcher Moss FC’s Youth Team in 2009 and spent six years progressing through the clubs academy before leaving in 2015.
He went on to feature for Northwich Victoria, Maine Road & 1874 Northwich before linking up with Celtic Manager Chris Willcock at Ramsbottom where he played some of his best football.
After signing for the club, Dahrius said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to be part of this club.
“I’ve worked with the gaffer and his staff before and I’m ready to fight along with the rest of the team to bring success this season.”
Stalybridge slap fighter Louis ‘Razor’ Robinson extended his unblemished Power Slap record to two last week with a first round TKO victory over Pavol Horelican in Belgrade.
With the start of the NPL Premier Division season just around the corner, Hyde United manager Michael Clegg insists he has no selection headaches going into the opening day.
For the first time in what feels like an eternity, we finally got to watch Manchester City back in action this weekend as Enzo Maresca took charge of his first match as Blues manager against Inter Milan in Hong Kong.
