Get On Yer Bike This Summer!

Mossley CRT is inviting the whole community to get on their bikes this year, with a summer of cycling that’s designed to be welcoming, supportive and open to all.

Cycling into summer

“Cycling into Summer” at Mossley CRT is about more than laps of the track, it’s about families, friendship and finding confidence on two wheels. The club is family-focused and backed by British Cycling, offering a safe, supportive environment where riders of every level can grow their skills at their own pace. Whether you’re racing to win or simply riding for the joy of it, expert coaches are on hand to help you pedal your best.

Weekly Go-Ride Wednesdays

Every Wednesday, Tameside Cycle Circuit comes alive with Mossley CRT’s Go-Ride and Development sessions. The Go-Ride session runs from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, giving younger and newer riders the chance to build skills and confidence in a structured but friendly setting. From 7:00pm to 8:30pm, the Development Ride supports more experienced riders who want to push on with their training, technique and race craft. Newcomers can enjoy their first two sessions free, with British Cycling accredited coaches guiding each rider individually.

A club rooted in the community

Mossley CRT is based at Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne (OL7 9HG), putting a high-quality cycling facility within easy reach of local families. The club emphasises safety, enjoyment and progression, making it a natural home for anyone looking to take their riding a little further. Riders can find out more, book sessions and stay up to date via mossleycrt.club

Limitless cycling for everyone

Alongside its weekly sessions, Mossley CRT runs “Limitless” an inclusive programme designed to build a truly accessible cycling network. Limitless sessions are open to individuals with intellectual, visual or physical disabilities, with a clear focus on making cycling enjoyable and achievable for everyone. The club provides a fleet of specially adapted bikes, including a handbike, trike, tandem and ICE recumbent bike, all rigorously safety-checked before each session so that riders and families can focus on the experience, not the equipment.

Monthly inclusive sessions

Limitless runs once a month on the first Saturday, with two carefully structured sessions at Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne (OL7 9HG). Beginners ride from 9:30am to 10:30am, giving new cyclists time and space to get comfortable, while the Development session from 10:30am to 12:00pm is tailored to those who want to advance their skills and independence. Bookings are available through mossleycrt.club

For anyone looking to start, return to, or progress in cycling this year, Mossley CRT offers a pathway: from first pedal strokes at Go-Ride, to inclusive Limitless sessions, to confident development rides under the guidance of British Cycling accredited coaches.
