Glossop Face Longest Trip Of The Season

Glossop face their longest trip of their league season this weekend as travel to Wisbech Town FC.

They face a 281-mile round trip this weekend to travel for their match against Wisbech in a game that they will be hoping for three points.

Glossop come into the game having struggled so far this season after only 2 wins from their opening 10 games. However, their last game was a thumping 6-1 win at home to Spalding United which was surely a huge confidence boost for the team. A hat-trick from Porya Ahmadi sent Glossop on their way as they doubled their goal tally for the season in 90 minutes.

Wisbech Town have been on a similar run to Glossop as they have also only won two games so far this season. Wisbech’s last game was a 3-1 loss at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels and they will be looking to bounce back against Glossop.

A win for either team could see them move as high as 13th in the table and put more distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
