Saturday saw Glossop RUFC leave it late to secure a hard earned draw in Merseyside.
For their second league game of the season, Glossop travelled to Liverpool, for a game played amongst the remnants of storm Amy.
In blustery turbulent conditions the game proved to be just as topsy turvy.
The Hillmen stormed to an early 14-0 nil lead with tries from young speedster Griffiths and the powerhouse Grime.
Both were converted by fly half Dearing.
Unfortunately soon after, due to a series of penalties against Glossop, which saw two men go to the sin bin, Collegiate brought the game level with two tries of their own, both converted.
Just before half time the home side nudged ahead to lead 21-14.
Glossop, with their young back three excelling in the conditions, brought the game level with a try from Dalloway, again converted by Dearing to see the score at 21-21.
Collegiate then seemed to pull away with two quick tries, one converted, to convincingly lead 33-21.
The Hillmen weren’t done though and second tries for Griffiths and Grime, one converted brought the game to a thrilling 33-33 conclusion.
