Hyde sign attacking midfielder

Hyde United have completed the loan signing of Sheffield United youth player, Illiman Ndiaye.

The attacking midfielder joins the Tigers until the end of the season.

Manager Dave McGurk spoke to the club's website and said: “We cant wait to see Illiman perform for us. Myself and John get out to a lot of Under 23’s games and he is one of the most exciting young players we have come across. He’s still a young player who is learning the game but I’m sure he will be a success here from now until the end of season.”

Hyde return to league action tomorrow afternoon against Grantham Town at Ewen Fields. They enter the game on the back of three consecutive league defeats, although they did progress in the Cheshire Senior Cup on Monday with a 4-2 win at Winsford United.

A few weeks ago on these pages, after Latics had lost three games in a row, conceding three goals in each game, I wrote them off for the season. Latics have won four games and drawn two, including last week’s stand-off against leaders Bromley at Hayes Lane, and the season is back in the balance. Tranmere Rovers were there to be hammered at Prenton Park, and Latics obliged. Tequila!
