Karate Kid Jack Earns England Call-Up

Jack Wilson from Carrbrook has been picked to represent England in the Commonwealth Karate Championships. 

Jack, 18, is one of the youngest competitors in the Under-21 kata section at the games. which is taking place on September 7 and 8.

Jack is a member of the Copley Recreation Centre-based Tameside Karate, where he has been coached since the age of nine by Senseis Sharon and Julian Mallalieu. 

Being self funded he has launched a GoFundme page that supports his trips to represent Britain at competitions across Europe and beyond.
