Hadfield St Andrew's Cricket Club has been inundated with messages of support following severe damage to the social club.
The club, whose first team secured promotion to the Greater Manchester Championship last season, received devastating news on Friday evening that a water pipe in the club house had burst and subsequently caused flooding.
What's worse, the club's volunteers had worked tirelessly to renovate the social club during 2022. Now, with the support of the local community behind them, Hadfield are hoping to raise funds to help with the repair work.
We spoke to club official Rick Tranter to get his thoughts on the situation, the club's response, and how excited the players are for the 2023 campaign.
