Local sports journalist to release autobiographical football book

Local sports journalist John Gwynne is releasing his autobiographical football book in early September.

John, who is the father of Denton and Reddish MP Andrew Gwynne, is a popular figure amongst sports lovers, having previously covered football for Piccadilly Radio, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC Radio London.

In his book, John, who will soon be embarking on his 24th season as a reporter on Sky’s Soccer Saturday programme, has chronicled his undying love for Manchester City, his years of broadcasting on local radio, and recalls memorable encounters with legends such as Sir Mattv Busby, Bobby Moore, and Sir Alex Ferguson.
