On the run for charity

In just under five weeks' time, Daddies Escape Running Club will be taking on a 50-mile run from Denton to Blackpool in aid of the Running Bee Foundation.

It marks the second challenge the 'Daddies' have accpeted in aid of the charity, having already completed a 40-mile run from Denton to Liverpool at the end of August.

Club captain Liam Mellon, who manages Vodafone stores in Ashton, Hyde and Buxton, has also donated £5 to the Running Bee Foundation for every contract sold.

Club members also raised money for the Running Bee Foundation by completing all four stages of the Tour of Tameside in June. Mellon is open to suggestions for future challenges.

Those wishing to donate to the cause can do so via the following link: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=DaddiesEscape&isTeam=true

Don't forget, the Jingle Bee Jog is also taking place at Media City on Sunday, November 24.
